PHENOMENAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No other word for it!!!

You know how hard it is these days to find a real ambient-downtempo CD, with chunky rhythms, that not only is ultimately satisfying but which hearkens back to the heady days of the early nineties yet is also something completely new and refreshing. With that scene no longer fashionable, the likes of Namlook and many others producing less and less or trading on past days or producing music that doesn't hold a candle to the glory days, it is with great pleasure that I can report a new hero on the block.

If it wasn't good enough that this label, re-launched like a phoenix from the ashes, has already produced two brilliant new, exclusive tracks, various artists albums, then this new CD, from the hand of a certain Andrew Reichel, is simply jaw-dropping on every level. First of all, be prepared. This is POWERFUL stuff - all ye who want something all floaty and celestial, should leave now. Yet it's ambient - in many ways like classic early Orb only miles better. The rhythms throughout most of the CD will leave your head in smoking ruins as they provide the driving force for most of the compositions, while the depth of sound is simply amazing, as you feel like you're being engulfed in this incredible electronic music of endless horizons and expansive atmospherics, with more layers and textures than you could imagine.

There's a booming river of disembowelling bass that runs under the proceedings like a motorised oil slick, as the solid, chunky, electro-percussive rhythms take you over and drive you along. Above all this, a galaxy of synths, samples, melodies, atmospherics, dubby bits, dynamic bits, spacey bits and much much more, provide this mesmerising central core to the compositions, the heart and soul, lifeblood of the music, warm, feeling and something you would sell your soul to experience. Without a less than jaw-dropping second on the entire CD, this is so huge-sounding, so solid and so organic, with such force, yet its mix of ambient, ambient dub, electro and downtempo is absolutely spellbinding and has to rank as a contender for one of THE finest albums of its kind in the last 15 years and beyond - stunning!!!
